Winter Activities
Winter Activities for your Alaska winter vacation are offered in March and April - the best months for snow activities in the arctic, with the long days, warmer temperatures and wonderful snow conditions.
We offer snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobile expeditions, and photography. The Northern Lights are often excellent at this time of the year.
A highlight of this season is the possibility of viewing the northward migration of the Western Arctic Caribou Herd, numbering half a million animals. Wolf packs are commonly sighted in the vicinity of this migration. A ski-equipped aircraft is on site at the lodge, available to accommodate flightseeing and varied opportunities for our guests.
